Shigaraki ware, which is mainly produced in Shigaraki, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, is counted as one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, and this traditional pottery, Japan's oldest, is used to make a variety of items, from everyday items such as tableware and ornaments to tiles and lanterns.
