Description

The texture of diatomaceous earth is used to express a dry landscape garden seen through a round window. Cherry blossoms are arranged to create an image that evokes the arrival of spring.

Using Mino ware techniques, these coasters are made from domestically produced diatomaceous earth, fired at a high temperature of 1250 degrees. They are highly absorbent, eliminating the hassle of water droplets getting on tables and clothes, or coasters sticking to glasses.
