Description
This silver hairpin features a motif of a beautifully blooming lotus flower, giving it a sophisticated look.
The lotus petals, each vein carefully carved to create a unique texture, are rendered using a white finish technique unique to silver. The stem is crafted from matte brass. The floral pattern is inspired by the Buddhist flower stand, which has a deep connection to lotuses. The contrast between the soft gold and silver creates a luxurious feel. The sturdy brass shaft makes it easy to use even for those with long hair, and it can be used alone to hold your hair up. This kanzashi is easy to coordinate with Western clothing and yukata, regardless of the season. Its simple design allows you to enjoy a variety of outfits, whether you wear it alone for an elegant look or use it with a hanging kanzashi as an accent.
Designer's thoughts
The lotus has flower meanings such as "pure heart" and "sacredness," and is associated with many legends as a flower that blooms in heaven.
The hairpin was designed to capture this sacred appearance.
The soft texture of the petals and the characteristic lotus receptacle have been carefully crafted.
The matte brass finish and unique technique of whitening the silver give it a sacred impression, like a real lotus.
The connection between the axis and the lotus is likened to a Buddhist altar ornament, a flower vase, creating an atmosphere that evokes a connection with heaven and the wisdom and compassion of Buddha.
