Description
The fox mask is used in Noh, Kagura, and Inari Shrine festivals. This silver netsuke features an elaborate design of a fox mask.
Foxes are considered messengers of the gods, and fox masks began to be sold at festivals as talismans for bountiful harvests. Today, they are said to bring various blessings, such as prosperity in business and safety in the home. The masks' dignified expressions and the detailed patterns on the masks are carefully carved, giving them a striking presence. They can be worn in a variety of ways, including as netsuke or as a top on a chain. We also recommend wearing them as a set with earrings or a ring.
■Can be combined with your favorite chain.
You can combine it with your favorite chain (sold separately) to create your own original necklace.
