Description
This is an original single knob hairpin, made with the traditional Japanese technique of "tsumami zaiku" and finished in an antique style, only available at Kanzashiya Wargo.
Hairpins decorated with tsumami zaiku have been used as hair accessories to complement traditional Japanese clothing, including the flower hairpins (maiko kanzashi) that adorn the traditional Japanese hairstyles of maiko, and to add a touch of elegance to updos worn with kimonos. The traditional tsumami zaiku technique has been crafted into a single hairpin type that can be easily worn in everyday life. The wooden stem also makes this hairpin easy to wear even for beginners.
This new tsumami hairpin, unique to Wargo, combines knob flowers made from two-color fabric with beads and antique parts that match the color and goes well with clothes.
It has a strong presence even on its own, and we also recommend combining it with other antique hairpins for a more enjoyable look.
This hairpin is recommended for everyday use as well as for Japanese clothing such as yukata and kimono.
