Description

This is a single-pronged hairpin in the shape of the traditional plum knot.

At first glance, it looks like a decorative knot for an obi sash, but upon closer inspection, you'll see that the eyes are carved into the cute snake's head. With its simple shape and color, it can be worn with Japanese clothing such as kimonos and yukatas, as well as casual outfits like jeans. With its subtle comical style, this hairpin will bring out your feminine individuality.

Designer's thoughts
When designing this hairpin with the snake motif, which is the Chinese zodiac sign, I was particular about making it so that it would not be obvious at first glance that it is a snake. The size and angle of the head, as well as the color of the eyes, were designed to look like an accent in a decorative knot. I think that half of people would probably not even realize that it is a snake. I also carefully adjusted the shape and the depth of the oxidizing process, so that it can be worn in a formal outfit with a unique, casual impression.
