Description
This is a retro-looking single hairpin with an antique-style scissors motif.
The finest details, such as the hit points where the handles meet and the screws, have been carefully sculpted and realistically reproduced. The finish has a warm antique feel. The charming retro feel is perfectly suited to scissors, a tool still used by people to cut things. Each and every hairpin is carefully crafted by hand by a craftsman. This hairpin can be easily paired with Western clothing, yukata, and kimono, regardless of the season.
Designer's thoughts
Since ancient times, Japan has had a custom of sending knives during important ceremonies. Knives have the meaning of carving out destiny and the future, and have been considered sacred and auspicious objects. Scissors, in particular, are said to cut off bad relationships and evil. We have made these scissors into a hairpin with a retro, nostalgic feel. We hope you will enjoy wearing scissors, which are also used to cut hair, as a hairpin, as well as using them as a talisman to ward off bad luck.
