Description
Introducing original tsumami kanzashi for Shichi-Go-San, made using the traditional Japanese technique of "tsumami zaiku," available exclusively from Kanzashi Shop Wargo.
Kanzashi (ornaments) with tsumami-zaiku (hand-crafted ornaments) have long been used as hair accessories for traditional Japanese clothing, including the flower kanzashi (maiko kanzashi) that adorn the traditional Japanese hairstyles of maiko (apprentice geisha), adding a touch of elegance to updos worn with kimono. This three-piece Shichi-Go-San hair accessory set features adorable small plum blossoms. Each petal is individually pleated, creating a soft, charming impression with its rounded tips. Crafted from pure silk, the petals are meticulously cut and lovingly crafted by skilled artisans. The plum blossom crown adds a touch of elegance to your child's special occasion. The included flap adds a touch of elegance to the style. The kanzashi with hanging sides can be worn as a set or individually as a hair accessory for a yukata. These traditional tsumami kanzashi are unique to Wargo, adhering to tradition while emphasizing modern innovation.
Designer's thoughts
Wargo has crafted original tsumami kanzashi using the traditional Japanese technique known as tsumami zaiku. This three-piece set of flower kanzashi for Shichi-Go-San features a uniquely pleated tsumami design, showcasing a blooming plum blossom. While luxurious and bold, the cute, feminine colors create a modern look. The thin, strip-shaped silver plates, known as ginbira, sparkle in the light, creating a dazzling, subtle sound with every movement. The bells are special bells used in a musical instrument called a gunguru, resulting in a unique finish. The fabric is made of pure silk, with a refined finish that oozes elegance. This kanzashi is perfect for decorating Shichi-Go-San, a special occasion that only comes around once in a lifetime.
