Description

This single hairpin is based on the traditional flat hairpin, but has a modern design with a cherry blossom motif openwork pattern.

A flat kanzashi is a hairpin with an earpick-shaped base and a flat, circular ornament. The ornament features an openwork pattern based on the traditional Japanese "mountain cherry blossom" motif. The carefully crafted pattern has a thick outline, making it a simple yet striking flat kanzashi. The front and back have a matte finish that exudes warmth. The sides are polished to a glossy finish, adding texture to the finish.

The stem is made of durable and easy-to-handle brass, so even those with thick hair can easily style it all with just one. The simple design makes it easy to match with other kanzashi, and it can be worn with both Japanese and Western styles for a cute look.

Designer's thoughts
This traditional flat hairpin features a traditional floral family crest. Often considered the national flower, the cherry blossom continues to be beloved by the Japanese for its purity and transience. This hairpin features a crest called the Yamazakura crest, which uses the cherry blossom. The handle is engraved with a pattern reminiscent of a vine. The handle is a little short, making this a great addition to short hair or when you want a little more volume.

Shaft Features Although it is made of brass, the stem is flat, so you need to be careful with the amount of force you use. If you use too much force, it may bend or break. For those with long or thick hair, it is recommended to insert it into a half-up style or tied up, or as a second hairpin for a hairstyle. For those with shorter hair, it can be inserted into braids, etc.

*You can use just one to tie up your hair.
*When using, please hold the shaft gently.
