Description
This single hairpin is based on the motif of a quill pen and has an antique-style finish that gives it a nostalgic and retro impression.
The pen is meticulously crafted with attention to detail, including the soft depiction of the feathers and the antique fleur-de-lis-style decoration. The end of the shaft is adorned with a charming nib designed to prevent snagging when the hairpin is inserted. Each piece is meticulously hand-finished by artisans, creating a warm, antique feel. In an age where writing is often done by machine, the quill pen, a pen used to weave words by hand, is a perfect fit. The shaft is made of durable brass, making it easy to use even for those with long hair, and it can be worn alone. This hairpin can be easily paired with Western clothing, yukata, and kimono, regardless of the season.
Designer's thoughts
The quill pen is considered one of the oldest types of pens. The word "pen" itself comes from the Latin word "penna," meaning "bird feather." Feathers have been said to have had various meanings since ancient times, and as birds take flight, they are a symbol of "soaring" and "good fortune," and are said to create wind and bring "good luck" and "joy." Using this quill pen as a motif, we have created a retro, nostalgic hairpin. We hope that it will act as a talisman to enhance your abilities and strengths.
