Description
The mysterious beauty of nature has been captured in this refreshing two-pronged hairpin, made using transparent beads with a matte texture.
The mountain lily (sankayo) blooms in clusters of small white flowers, and when the petals get wet with raindrops, the white flowers instantly turn transparent. The beads that resemble the sankayo are decorated with cut beads that sway down. They create a refreshing feeling like sparkling morning dew. They are easy to match with kimonos and yukatas, as well as everyday outfits, and are perfect for evening updos. One strand can also be used to tie up long hair.
Designer's thoughts
The wild lily (sankayou) is a beautiful flower whose petals become transparent when they absorb the moisture of morning dew. This hairpin is designed to resemble the petals of a wild lily bathed in water. It is depicted as if morning dew is overflowing and falling down. Transparent, translucent, and opaque parts are combined to create a rhythm, creating a charming design that will never get boring. The sparkling silver-coated stem and beads create a cool, two-pronged hairpin. The flower's meaning is "affection."
