■ Designer's thoughts: The "ko" in Ko-men means cute or beautiful, and it is the mask of a young woman. On the other hand, the Hannya mask looks like a man's face at first glance, but it is the face of a woman with an expression of jealousy and anger who has become a demon. In this obidome, the mask of a dignified young and beautiful woman splits open to reveal the terrifying Hannya mask, expressing a person's inner self. While Hannya may look frightening at first glance, in Buddhist terms it represents "wisdom," which in other words means "attaining enlightenment through prayer," and is therefore also considered a lucky charm. This impressive obidome can be worn as an obidome, or it can be threaded through a choker or bracelet.
