Description

[Auspicious Creatures Series] featuring auspicious creatures as motifs

The design features a dragon, which is a symbol of good fortune itself, and is a reference to the phrase "Toryumon" (gateway to success), which comes from a Chinese anecdote and is used to describe someone who has endured hardships to achieve wealth or who has achieved excellent academic results.

Wajima Urushi Chopsticks are made without a base coat, using synthetic resin paint for the undercoat and chopstick heads, and then finished with a natural lacquer top coat. The top coat is applied by hand by Wajima artisans, and the parts that go into the mouth as well as the parts that normally come into contact with the hands, except for the chopstick heads, are all lacquered, giving them a luxurious feel. While the base coat is not applied, the chopsticks are extremely lightweight, making them perfect for everyday use. We offer three types of chopsticks: gold lacquer, Takasago silver, and Takasago gold, with black and red bases that are easy for couples to use. They make great gifts as well as personal items.

[Kinkeshifun (gold powder)]
The design uses gold powder, a powder made from pure gold leaf, a specialty of Kanazawa, which gives off the refined, smooth shine that only gold can provide.

[Takasago Gold]
The design uses Takasago powder, which is pure silver that has been vacuum-deposited to create a gold finish. The coarse silver powder catches the light and sparkles. The more you use it, the more its texture changes, allowing you to enjoy the unique changes that only silver can provide.

[Takasago Silver]
The design is made using pure silver Takasago powder. The coarse silver powder catches the light and sparkles. The texture changes the more you use it, allowing you to enjoy the unique changes that only silver can provide.
