Description

This is a striking comb hairpin that exudes the atmosphere of Taisho Roman, featuring traditional Japanese patterns, checkered ribbons and vibrant ribbons layered together with a twisted cord bow.

Available in four different colors to match the color and pattern of your kimono. The simple crepe-like fabric combines with a chic checkered pattern to create a three-dimensional design. A traditional tsumami-zaiku plum blossom is placed in the center for a charming finish. Ethnic bells are placed at the end of the large bow for a unique finish. It produces a delicate, rustling sound with every step. The comb-type hairpin adds a touch of elegance to your hairstyle by simply inserting it into the side or back of your hair. Perfect for summer yukata, as well as coming-of-age ceremonies and graduation ceremonies. A vibrant and eye-catching hairpin.

Designer's thoughts
This combed hairpin (kanzashi) features a large ribbon motif evoking the romanticism of the Taisho era. A modern checkered ribbon is layered with vivid ribbon and twisted cord for a three-dimensional effect. A plum blossom crafted using traditional tsumami zaiku (plum blossom craft) is adorned in the center of the ribbon, adding a touch of Japanese charm. The elegant and charming design perfectly matches the name Komachi, a reference to a beautiful young woman renowned in the town. The bow, tied with twisted cord, features a special bell used in a musical instrument called a gungur, adding a unique touch. Perfect for wearing alone or paired with other hairpins for a more elegant look. This hairpin is perfect for formal occasions like graduations and coming-of-age ceremonies, as well as everyday wear with yukata and kimono.
