Since ancient times, the lion has been considered a sacred animal in China, symbolizing authority and power. Its swirling, wave-like pattern is engraved with auspicious motifs, considered a good omen and auspicious sign. Its wide-open mouth gives it a menacing, almost threatening appearance, evoking a sense of strength that wards off evil. The back features a peony silhouette, a playful design characteristic of Kasu Studio. The natural carnelian produces a refreshing, rattling sound.
