Description
This pendant top features a large frog leaning on a lotus stem.
The motif is a frog, a water creature familiar to Japanese people. Its habit of returning to its birthplace in the spring has long been cherished as a symbol of a safe return. The combination of the lotus, a symbol of enlightenment, and the pensive frog has long been a popular depiction, but the frog designed by Kasu Studio somehow appears to be simply dozing, leaning against the leaf. Whether it's philosophizing or snoozing is up to you to decide. While the piece is rounded and three-dimensional, a chain can be threaded through the underside of the leaf, ensuring that the frog faces forward when worn.
