7月の誕生日プレゼント~夏を楽しむアイテムを厳選!大切なあの人への贈りものに~

The long rainy season has finally ended, and the long-awaited summer has arrived.

Once the end of the rainy season is announced in various places, the full-fledged season begins at the beach and in the mountains.

Summer vacation and festivals are starting, and summer is finally here.

There are plenty of events to enjoy, including swimming in the sea, forest bathing, Bon Odori dances, and fireworks displays!

I get excited from the moment I start making plans.

As July approaches and the weather gets hotter, don't let the heat get you down and enjoy the sparkling summer!

We will introduce some recommended items and summer-themed products that will make your summer even more fun.

July Flowers

lotus

The birth flower for July is the lotus.

Lotus flowers begin to bloom in the summer, and their dignified appearance in the clear pond is beautiful and mysterious.

As you know, "lotus" is the flower of the vegetable "lotus root."

When lotus root is sliced, it has holes in it, which means it is considered to be a good omen for "seeing into the future."

The flower's meaning is "pure heart" and "sacredness." It has a deep connection with Buddhism, and its origins lie in the fact that lotus flowers bloomed from the footprints of the newborn Buddha. The presence and refined beauty of each flower is soothing to the soul.

We would like to introduce products based on the sacred flower "lotus," which conveys a sense of tension like a taut thread in the clear water and air.

festival

With the setting sun, carried by the still-hot wind

The sound of drums and flutes can be heard from somewhere.

Following the sound, I found the place and saw lanterns lit up and people bustling about in yukata and jinbei...

When I think of festivals, I am reminded of a scene like this from summer.

Even before festivals and Bon Odori dances begin, their unique atmosphere makes your heart beat faster and brings excitement.

"A fool dancing and a fool watching, if you're both fools, you'd be missing out if you didn't dance! You're missing out!"

These are the lyrics at the beginning of the Tokushima Awa Odori song,

It means, "If we're the same, let's dance together!"

Rather than just watching, why not enjoy the festival? We would like to introduce you to the recommended item to make the most of the festival: the yukata.

In search of coolness

A stylish fan made from eco-friendly materials!

As the heat fades and we start wearing lighter clothing, our minds and bodies become more open.

I want to enjoy the hot summer to the fullest!!

However, if you don't take precautions, you won't be able to keep up with the changing seasons and you'll end up getting sick.

Why not try incorporating "coolness" into "chic" to make your stay more comfortable?

This item allows you to easily create wind anytime, anywhere. It is compact, portable, lightweight, and smart, making it a powerful product!

Yes, it's a fan!

Whether you already have one or not, why not get yourself a new one this summer?

The materials vary, from paper and cloth to bamboo and lace, and there is a wide range of designs, from all-over patterns to designs with a story.

It's small and lightweight, so it won't get in the way even if you keep it in your bag, and you don't have to worry about batteries like with small portable fans.

There is a good reason why fans have remained popular for so many years, with almost no changes to their form. We recommend fans not only for your own use, but also as gifts this time of year!

Dressed in style

How do you style your hair in the summer?

During this sweaty season, you may be concerned about the hair around your face.

Many people say that updos are the way to go in the summer.

Even if I put my hair up, it's quite a lot of work, as it involves braiding and making a bun... It takes time and I'm not very dexterous.

You can easily tie your hair up with a hair tie, but you still want to look stylish! Do you have that problem?

We have some recommended products that are perfect for you!

The most recommended item is the "kanzashi" (hairpin).

"What! A hairpin?" "It's not something you wear on a regular basis!"

"I don't even know how to use it..."

Try it once and see for yourself!

You won't be able to let it go.

We carry a wide variety of designs to suit both Japanese attire for festivals and casual everyday wear.

You can also use it as an accessory, which will broaden your fashion options.

It's also very easy to use!

Once you learn how to do it, it only takes 30 seconds to create a stylish and cute updo!

Among the hairpins, we especially recommend the following at this time of year:

It's a "glass bead hairpin"!

Colorful, intricate patterns trapped in glass!

The glass beads sparkle in the summer sun and are sure to catch your eye. The stem is made of durable brass, so even those with thick or long hair can style it all with just this one stick.

My recommended use is... in the bath!!

With rubber or pins, you may be concerned about stains or rust, but the brass shaft will not rust, and you can use it after taking a bath by simply wiping off any water droplets.

Perfect for upstyles.

And be sure to use kanzashi (hairpins) to add a stylish touch to your everyday fashion.

When You Wish Upon a Star

July 7th is Tanabata.

It is famous as a sad love story about Orihime and Hikoboshi, who are separated by the Milky Way but are allowed to meet once a year.

When you were a child, you probably wrote your wishes on strips of paper and decorated them on bamboo.

[Tanabata Legend]

Orihime, the daughter of the Heavenly Emperor, worked as a weaver of hata cloth, but the Heavenly Emperor was concerned that she was always working, so he arranged for her to meet Hikoboshi, who lived on the other side of the Milky Way. The two fell in love and stopped working altogether. Seeing this, the Heavenly Emperor separated the two on either side of the Milky Way, preventing them from ever meeting. However, feeling sorry for them, he allowed them to meet only once a year, on the night of July 7th.

As Tanabata approaches, I find myself thinking, "I wonder if I'll be able to meet them this year?" and "I'd like to let them meet." However, every year the weather tends to be rainy or cloudy.

When I think of the two of them, I always pray, "May they meet up in the clouds," and I'm sure they do!

We would like to introduce products inspired by Orihime and Hikoboshi, as well as the twinkling stars.

Experience summer with all your senses

Feel the scent. ~Mosquito coils~

When you come home from the heat outside and open the front door, the strong smell of mosquito coils hits you.

At this moment, just smelling the scent makes you feel like it's summer.

I couldn't help but mutter, "It's summer."

This is by far the number one "summer scent"!

Some people say, "Mosquito coils have a bit of smoke..." or "I don't like the strong smell," but I'm definitely a "Mosquito Coil" fan. This scent is great!!

Not only does it repel mosquitoes, but it also has an indescribable calming scent that helps you relax.

Mosquito coils have long been popular in Japan, with some people describing them as "the smell of home." Did you know there are cute ways to use mosquito coils?

Feel it through the sound. ~Bells~

"Clink"

The clear sound of a bell is somehow nostalgic and has a cool tone.

The sound of the bell gives the impression of bringing a refreshing, clean breeze. Since ancient times, bells have been used as tools to summon gods, and so they have come to be attached to personal belongings as talismans and amulets to ward off evil spirits.

Each one shows a different face depending on its size and shape. There are a variety of them, from small, cute ones that make a "ring-ring" and "sniff-sniff" sound to loud ones that make a "clank-clank" sound.

All of the sounds are soothing to the ears, and their cute, round shape is another reason for their popularity.

Why not carry a bell that combines healing and warding off evil spirits while also making you feel cool?

Checkered Butterfly Plum Komachi Kanzashi (Red, Purple, Yellow, Green)

Checkered Butterfly Plum Komachi Kanzashi (Red, Purple, Yellow, Green)

A feast for the eyes. ~Firefly~

In the quiet darkness without streetlights, tiny lights of fireflies float here and there.

It is a soft, faint light that cannot be created artificially.

It's a rare sight that can only be seen near clean water, so it's definitely something you'll want to experience at least once in your life.

The best time to see fireflies is from mid-April to early August, and you can see them somewhere in Japan. It's a pleasure that can only be enjoyed during the warm season.

They glow to communicate with each other, but the strongest light is emitted when a male approaches a female (courting). Each light is cute, but when they gather together and light up all over the riverbank or rice fields, it resembles a starry sky.

Just like the light of the stars, you will never get tired of watching the light of fireflies.

The gentle light is soothing, and the reflection on the water's surface, along with the gently swaying water, purifies the soul.
