[The Ichi (Zaichi)] Editorial Department Recommends! Shichi-Go-San Special Feature
The Ichi editorial team's recommendations are a special feature page featuring seasonal recommendations from our site staff, unconstrained by brand. Shichi-Go-San, held annually around November 15th, is a uniquely Japanese event celebrating the safe passage of the year for children aged three, five, and seven. In the past, when sanitation and medical care were scarce, children up to the age of seven were considered "gods," so many died at such a young age that the ritual was born from parents' deepest desire for their children's healthy growth. It's sure to continue into the future. The Ichi's Kanzashi Shop, Wargo, carries a wide selection of original and select kanzashi perfect for Shichi-Go-San.
