[The Ichi (Zaichi)] Editorial Department Recommends! Halloween Special
The Ichi editorial team's recommendation is a special feature page featuring seasonal products recommended by our site staff, regardless of brand. Halloween, celebrated every year on October 31st, is apparently an abbreviation of All Saints' Day, the eve of Christian All Saints' Day, which commemorates all saints. Why do Japanese people get so excited about festivals from other religions? It's said that Japan has over 300,000 festivals a year, demonstrating the ancient belief that gods reside in all things. While The Ichi is usually all about Japan, this time of year we're taking a more traditional approach to Halloween with a Japanese-inspired look.
